    3. Start the conversion and check the cropped PDF before you keep it.

    Common questions and quick fixes

What unit does the PDF crop margin use?

The margin uses PDF points. There are 72 points in one inch. Start with a small value so you do not hide text near the edges.

Can I crop just one page or one edge?

This tool applies the same margin to all four edges of every page. It does not provide a separate crop box for each page.

Does cropping permanently remove hidden PDF content?

No. Cropping changes the visible page area. Content outside that area may remain in the file. Use Redact PDF when you need to remove sensitive content.

Why does my crop setting fail?

A large margin can leave too little visible page area. Try a smaller value, particularly for small pages or PDFs with mixed page sizes.

Helpful tip: Keep an uncropped copy so you can return to the full page later.
